SYKES Sportsfest and Family Day 2018: Supremacy

 The Brief

SYKES Cebu’s Sportsfest and Family Day is an annual month-long event, which culminates in a half-day grand finals and a series of games and activities for its employees and families.  This event is aimed at promoting camaraderie, unity, and a healthier lifestyle among its employees.

This year’s chosen event identity was “Supremacy” to align with the company ideals to continue to push talents to become a leader in their respective crafts and fields.  The brief: design and manage game tournaments; event management; event design for the grand finals and Family Day; and, event direction.

Our Solution

This year was our second year to organize the SYKES Sportsfest and Family Day.  Just like any annual event, the main challenge is how you meet the participants’ expectations year after year.

To support the theme, we staged a military boot camp-inspired event as our interpretation of the over-all “Supremacy” event identity.  The military boot camp feel was carried away for the entire event design elements:  from décor to team building games, to program design and team competitions.

True to the military boot camp feel, we prepped a grand entrance for SYKES executive  as he arrived aboard a military jeep and was joined by soldiers from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Cebu.

Immediately after the Sportsfest and Family Day was officially opened, military officers led participants on an Army Dozen Exercise, which consisted of 12 easy yet helpful exercises that served as a warmup for the day’s activities.
